YOGA AND
CHRISTIAN MEDITATION

Jesus called His disciples and gave a three-fold mission (Mark 3: 13-14). The first and foremost mission is to be with Him. Meditation is the best means to be with Jesus and enjoy His Divine presence.  This course will be a time of joy and celebration in the Divine presence.

Jesus’ greatest desire and prayer in the Gospel of St. John 22-23 “I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me”.

The daily practice of Yoga and Meditation centered on Jesus will help you to fulfill the will of Jesus in your life. Yoga means union - union with God, with the whole humanity, with nature and with oneself. It is a means of spiritual enlightenment. It is an art of living with positive attitudes and cheerfulness. Yoga is a way of life. Accept, adopt and practise yoga as a part of your life and enjoy happiness and peace. You will be able to reach the conviction: ‘I am the living, loving and joyous child of God, the heavenly Father’.

The practice of breathing exercises, yoga postures and relaxation methods helps to prepare the body and mind for meditation. Once the body is prepared and mind is still meditation is easy. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. St. Paul says in his first letter to Corinthians Chapter 6: 19-20. “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body”. So our human body is a means to experience Jesus while we are here on earth. Jesus used His body to meet us and save us. Therefore we can use our body to meet Jesus in meditation.

If the body is not prepared it will disturb us and the mind will be wandering. But the practice of breathing exercises, yoga postures and relaxation methods helps us to turn the body and mind to be receptive to the Grace of God.

This Yoga Christian Meditation Course will increase your concentration and memory power, enthusiasm, cheerfulness, positive approach to life, build better inter-personal relationships, improve stamina, resistance against sickness, power of healing and finally spiritual transformation.

PRAYER OF A YOGI

Lord Jesus, accept my self-surrender and adoration.

I am not mine but yours.

I know that I am the living, loving and joyous expression of life.

I am ready to love and render my service to humanity.

Help me to do your will

and make me an instrument of your love and peace.
